How to Cook a Perfect Steak

January 19, 2015

My husband LOVES steak. So, I have been trying out marinades, seasonings and cooking methods in order to cook “the perfect steak” or at least by my husband’s standards. (And he has pretty high standards!)

Because I’m still intimidated by the outdoor grills, (Sorry, outdoor grilling is a man thing in my mind!) I have been experimenting with cooking my steaks in the oven. It works really well! September 22, 2014

Up until this week, I have never made banana bread before. I had two bananas turn an ugly brown color, but didn’t want to throw them away, so I thought I’d attempt to bake. Before you get too nervous about this recipe, I would just like to say that I brought my banana bread to work the next day, and it was gone in a few hours. So I guess that means it was pretty good, and edible! I thought was tasty and moist ā€“ like banana bread should be. šŸ™‚ So here’s my recipe. Continue Reading…

Tropical Smoothies from My Kitchen

September 10, 2014

In high school, I applied for a part-time job at Tropical Smoothie. I wanted to be a cashier, but had no idea that on my first day (and for the rest of my time there) Iā€™d be sent to work in the kitchen instead. Continue Reading…
